Whole House Water Filters

Whole house water filters, treated water at every tap

Point-of-use filters fix one faucet. A whole house filter treats the main line, so every shower, every load of laundry, and every appliance runs on cleaner water. We size and install them for real desert conditions.

One system, the whole house behind it

A whole house filter sits on your main line after the shutoff and treats everything downstream. Depending on your water, that means a sediment stage for sand and rust, catalytic carbon for chlorine and taste, and specialty media where testing finds specific problems. The tank-style systems we install through Impact Water Solutions handle full household flow without choking your pressure, which is where undersized box-store units fail first.

Every install gets a bypass loop, so filter service never interrupts the house, and gauge ports that let anyone check pressure drop at a glance.

How the job goes

1

Test the actual water

At your taps, with lab panels where stakes are high. The numbers drive everything that follows, never a brochure.

2

Design the treatment train

Sediment, carbon, softening, RO, or specialty stages, only what your water argues for, with honest annual costs attached.

3

Install to be serviced

Bypass loops, isolation valves, and labeled stages, so every future filter change takes minutes instead of a service call.

4

Retest and prove it

Post-install numbers in your hand, and a maintenance schedule that keeps them true. Treatment without proof is faith.

What changes when the whole house is filtered

Chlorine leaves the showers, which skin and hair notice inside a week. Sediment stops sandblasting fixture cartridges and appliance valves, which is half of why fixtures up here fail early. Laundry rinses cleaner and whites stop graying. And every downstream treatment, softener resin, RO membranes, water heater tanks, lives longer because it is no longer doing the pre-filter’s job.

Pair with a softener for hardness and an RO tap for drinking and you have the complete stack, priced honestly as a system.

Out here, the desert writes the rules

Desert mains move sand, older city lines shed rust, and wells out toward Phelan and Twentynine Palms deliver both on a windy week. A sediment-plus-carbon whole house filter is the workhorse answer, and we size it to the flow your house actually pulls.

We don’t come back to fix the same thing twice. It’s correct the first time.

Asked at the front door

Will a whole house filter reduce my water pressure?

A correctly sized one, no, that is the point of sizing to your peak flow. The pressure complaints come from small cartridge housings asked to feed a whole family. Tank systems sized right are invisible to daily life.

What is the difference between this and a softener?

Filtration removes particles, chlorine, and specific contaminants; softening removes dissolved hardness minerals. Desert water usually argues for both, and they install cleanly together as one treatment train.

How often does the media need replacing?

Tank media runs years, three to five for carbon depending on your chlorine load, longer for sediment vessels that backwash. We put honest intervals and costs in writing before you buy, so ownership has no surprises.

Can you install it where I cannot see it?

Garage, side yard with a weather cover, or a mechanical closet, wherever your main allows. It needs service access and freeze protection, both of which we plan for High Desert winters as standard.

Do you service systems other companies installed?

Yes. Media changes, valve rebuilds, resizing mistakes corrected honestly. If your existing system was oversold or underbuilt, we will tell you plainly what it actually needs, which is sometimes nothing.

The look is free, the price is firm

We diagnose first and hand you the number before the wrench comes out. It does not move once you say go, and the work is correct the first time.
