Plumbing below the sewer line
Gravity is the whole trade, and a basement sits below most of it. Fixtures down there usually cannot drain to the street on slope alone, which is where sewage ejector pumps and their sealed basins come in: they collect the basement’s waste and lift it to the main line. We install, repair, and replace ejector systems, and we size them honestly for what the basement actually hosts.

Can you add a bathroom to my basement?
Usually yes, with a sewage ejector system doing the lifting where gravity cannot. Basin, pump, venting, and backwater thinking all get engineered before the concrete opens, and you get the firm price and honest layout advice first.
What is a sewage ejector pump and how long do they last?
A sealed basin and pump that lifts basement waste up to the main sewer line. Quality units run eight to twelve years with sane use, and we install them with alarms so a failure announces itself before the basin does.
Why does my basement smell like sewer sometimes?
A dried-out floor drain trap is the usual suspect, cheap to fix, or a failing ejector basin seal, less cheap but very fixable. Persistent smell earns a proper diagnosis, because below-grade sewer gas has a short list of causes.
Do I need a backwater valve?
If any basement fixture sits below the level of the street sewer, it is the difference between a city main surcharge being someone else’s problem or your flooring claim. We assess the elevations honestly and install the valve where it earns its place.
Can you protect my basement from monsoon flooding?
That is sump territory: a properly sized pit, pump, battery backup, and discharge routing that sends water genuinely away. Desert monsoons are brief and violent, and the basements that stay dry are the ones that prepared in the calm.
