Sewer Line Replacement

Sewer line replacement when patching stops making sense

There is a point where one more spot repair is throwing good money after bad. When the camera shows a lateral failing along its whole run, we replace it with new pipe on proper grade and put the problem away for fifty years.

The honest math on replace versus repair

A sewer lateral that has failed in one place is a repair. A lateral that is cracked, root-bound, and bellied along its length is a subscription to backups, and every patch buys less time than the last. We put the camera down, walk you through the footage foot by foot, and price both paths so the decision is yours with real numbers in hand.

Ruben has talked people out of full replacements when the line honestly had years left. He has also told people to stop paying us for cablings when the line was done. Both conversations come from the same place: we would rather keep a customer than win one invoice.

How the job goes

1

Tell us what the water is doing

Backing up, gurgling, or smelling: the symptom picks the tooling. If sewage is rising, we walk you through damage control while a truck heads out.

2

Camera and diagnose

We clear the immediate blockage, then look at why it happened. Repeat problems get the camera so the cause is on screen, not in theory.

3

Firm price, then the fix

You see what we found and the number to fix it before work starts. Cabling, jetting, or repair, the price does not move once you say go.

4

Prove it and clean up

Water runs at volume, the camera confirms where it matters, and the workspace goes back the way we found it. If the same fix fails, the return trip is on us.

How a replacement goes

We expose the lateral from the house connection to the city tap or septic tank, pull the old pipe, and lay new ABS on a bed of compacted material at continuous grade, no bellies, no back-fall. Cleanouts go in at the right places so the next thirty years of maintenance takes minutes instead of digging. The line gets tested and the trench gets compacted in lifts so your yard stays level.

Where access or landscape makes open trench painful, ask about trenchless replacement. When the old pipe qualifies, we can burst a new line through the old path with two small pits.

Local knowledge, Victorville out to the Pass

Wartime and postwar neighborhoods in San Bernardino, Colton, and Redlands are full of clay and Orangeburg laterals past their design life, and High Desert tracts from the seventies are not far behind. If your neighbors have started replacing lines, that is information about your own yard.

Honest scoping, in writing

Ruben has talked customers out of repairs other plumbers quoted them for. One reviewer wrote that he replaced a single valve after another company insisted the whole assembly had to go. You get a diagnosis you can see with your own eyes, a firm price before the wrench comes out, and a recommendation we would make to our own family.

We don’t come back to fix the same thing twice. It’s correct the first time.

“I called them in the morning and they came and replaced my water heater that very day. Ruben and Carlos Hernandez are the ones that came. They are very honest and they did a fantastic job. I definitely recommend this company to anyone else, especially landlords.”

Questions we actually get

How long does a full sewer replacement take?

Most residential laterals take one to two days including inspection and backfill. Long runs or deep city connections can add a day. You get the timeline with the firm price, and we do not disappear mid-trench to another job.

Will I be able to use my plumbing during the work?

Mostly no while the line is open, which is why we schedule the cutover tight and get sewage service back the same day whenever the run allows. We tell you the exact window before we start.

Do I need city permits for this?

Usually yes, and we handle them. The work gets inspected, which protects you, and our replacements pass because grade, bedding, and materials are done to code the first time.

What pipe do you replace it with?

ABS for most residential laterals, sized and graded to code, with proper cleanouts. It does not rust, roots cannot penetrate sound joints, and it will outlive everyone in this conversation.

Is trenchless cheaper than digging?

Sometimes, especially when the line runs under hardscape you would otherwise demolish and rebuild. Sometimes open trench wins. We price whichever paths your line qualifies for and let the numbers argue it out.

Open 24 hours, Monday through Saturday

Emergencies get answered by a plumber, not a queue. Scheduled work gets a window we actually hit. Either way, the fix holds.
