A water heater install is forty gallons of scalding water sitting on a gas flame in your garage, and it deserves better than a swap-and-run. We size the unit to your actual household, set it level on a proper stand, strap it for earthquake code, pipe the temperature relief line where it belongs, check the flue draft, and leak-test the gas connection before the burner ever lights.
The old unit leaves on our truck and the area gets swept. One customer wrote that she called in the morning and had hot water by that evening with the old tank hauled off. That is the pattern, not the exception.

If you are choosing between tank and tankless, we lay out both honestly: tankless wins on endless hot water and garage space, a quality tank wins on upfront cost and simplicity.

Questions we actually get
Can you really install a water heater the same day?
Most tank swaps, yes. We stock common sizes and the A.O. Smith supply chain is quick. Call in the morning, hot water by dinner, old unit hauled away. Tankless conversions take longer because of venting and gas sizing, and we say so up front.
What size water heater do I need?
Depends on people, bathrooms, and habits, not on what the last plumber left. Two adults do fine on 40 gallons. A family running back-to-back showers and laundry wants 50 or more, or a tankless. We size it to the house and put firm numbers on the options.
Do you handle permits and code requirements?
Yes. Seismic strapping, relief valve piping, drain pan where required, proper venting, gas leak test. It is done to code the first time, which is what A.O. Smith certification and the Handle certification are for.
What happens to my old water heater?
It leaves on our truck the same visit, and the space gets cleaned up. You should not have a rusting monument in the driveway waiting for bulky pickup.
Is financing available?
Yes, on water heater replacements and larger projects. Ask when you call and we lay the options next to the firm price so you can decide with real numbers.
