Boiler installation, quiet heat done to spec
A new boiler is a twenty-year decision that lives or dies at install: sizing, piping, venting, and controls. We install residential boilers and hydronic systems that run quiet, efficient, and correct from the first firing.

Sized to the load, not to the brochure
An oversized boiler short cycles itself to an early death, and an undersized one never catches up on a mountain night. We calculate the actual heat load, the zones, the radiation or floor loop capacity, and size the unit to that. Modern condensing boilers reward this discipline with efficiency the old cast iron never dreamed of, but only when the system around them is piped to let them condense.
You get the sizing logic explained in plain English and a firm price on the recommended unit, with alternatives priced honestly if you want to compare tiers.

How the job goes
Call with the symptom
No hot water, a leak, a noise, an error code: each narrows the diagnosis before we arrive, and same-day service is the norm, not the upsell.
Diagnose with instruments
Gas pressure, element draw, error histories, tank condition. We test rather than guess, and you see what we find.
Honest repair-or-replace math
Both numbers, side by side, with the recommendation we would give our own family. Nobody sells you a tank you did not need.
Install or repair, then prove it
Strapped, vented, tested, and demonstrated. The old equipment leaves on our truck and the area gets swept before we do.
The install itself, done properly
Primary and secondary piping where the design calls for it, an expansion tank charged to the system, air elimination that actually eliminates, condensate handled legally, venting to manufacturer spec, and gas supply verified at the meter, upsized through our gas line work when the new burner needs it. Controls get commissioned, zones get balanced, and you get a walkthrough before we leave.
The old unit goes out on our truck. Financing is available on full system replacements.
Local knowledge, Victorville out to the Pass
Big Bear Lake and Wrightwood cabins live and die by their boilers, and the smart install includes freeze protection thinking for the weeks a cabin sits empty. Down the hill, we replace the aging boilers in Redlands and Riverside radiator homes with condensing units that cut the gas bill visibly.
Work that pairs with this
Honest scoping, in writing
Ruben has talked customers out of repairs other plumbers quoted them for. One reviewer wrote that he replaced a single valve after another company insisted the whole assembly had to go. You get a diagnosis you can see with your own eyes, a firm price before the wrench comes out, and a recommendation we would make to our own family.
We don’t come back to fix the same thing twice. It’s correct the first time.
“The team at CH Plumbing are efficient, professional, on time, and we appreciate their hardwork. We use them often for our home plumbing issues. We highly recommend them!”Gina S.
Questions we actually get
How do you size a boiler for my house?
By calculating the heat load: square footage, insulation, windows, elevation, and the emitters you have, radiators or floor loops. Not by copying the old unit’s plate, which was frequently wrong to begin with.
How long does a boiler installation take?
A straightforward swap runs two to three days including commissioning. System changes, new zones, or venting reroutes add time, and the firm price comes with the honest schedule up front.
Are condensing boilers worth it?
At altitude with real winters, usually yes, the gas savings are visible. But they need return temperatures low enough to condense, which is a piping design question. We tell you whether your system lets one earn its sticker price.
Can you handle the gas line for a bigger boiler?
Yes, gas line sizing and installation is our own work, not a subcontract. Meter capacity gets verified and any upsizing is in the firm price from the start.
Do you install boilers in vacation cabins?
Yes, Big Bear and Wrightwood included, with freeze protection built into the plan for empty weeks: pipe insulation, smart monitoring, and shutoff strategy. Ask about it during the sizing visit.
The look is free, the price is firm
We diagnose first and hand you the number before the wrench comes out. It does not move once you say go, and the work is correct the first time.
