Gas Line Repair

Victorville, CA · Mon to Sat: Open 24 Hours(877) 233-1033

Gas line repair, taken as seriously as gas deserves

A gas smell, a hissing line, or a red tag from the utility is a right-now problem. We locate gas leaks with proper instruments, repair the line correctly, and prove the system tight on a gauge before it carries fuel again.

If you smell gas, do this first

Leave the house, do not flip switches or light anything, and call the gas company’s emergency line from outside; they shut off service free, day or night. Then call us. That order matters, and we would rather you hear it from your plumber than learn it another way.

Once the scene is safe, we find the leak with electronic detection and pressure isolation, not guesswork: which run, which joint, exactly where. The photo on this page is that work in progress, gauges on a meter riser proving what the instruments found.

How the job goes

1

Safety first, always

Gas smells mean leave first and call from outside. For inspections and maintenance, we schedule at your convenience instead.

2

Instrumented diagnosis

Gauges, detectors, and pressure tests, never guesswork. Gas and safety systems get proven, not sniffed at.

3

Correct to code

Repairs and installs built to the code book the first time, with permits pulled and inspectors met where the work requires it.

4

Documented and proven

Pressure held on a gauge, results in writing, tags cleared with the utility. Your file gets the evidence.

Repairs and red tags cleared

Corroded fittings, failed unions, old lines nicked by digging or rubbed bare by decades of vibration: each gets cut back to sound pipe and rebuilt with correct materials, never patched with the paste-and-hope method. Then the full system holds a pressure test before the utility relights the meter, and we handle that relight coordination.

If the utility red-tagged your house or an appliance, we do the corrective work, document it, and get the tag cleared, usually faster than people fear. Aging systems that fail repeatedly get an honest conversation about replacement through our gas line installation.

From the High Desert down to the Inland Empire

Older galvanized gas runs around Barstow, San Bernardino, and Colton rust at the threads after sixty years, and shifting desert soil works buried lines harder than most climates. If your house predates the eighties and has never had the gas system checked, that check is overdue.

Open 24 hours, Monday to Saturday

Water does not wait for business hours and neither do we. A burst line at 2 a.m. gets a real plumber on the phone, not a callback queue. We walk you to the shutoff while a truck heads your way, then fix it properly instead of patching over the symptom.

We don’t come back to fix the same thing twice. It’s correct the first time.

“Ruben came out promptly, took the time to walk me through the current issues I was facing, and explained the different options available. He did an excellent job, hauled away the old unit and left the area spotless.”

Before you even call

I smell gas right now. What do I do?

Leave the building without touching switches or flames, then call the gas company emergency line from outside, they respond and shut off service free. Once it is safe, call us at (877) 233-1033 and we handle the find, the fix, and the relight.

How do you find a gas leak exactly?

Electronic detectors trace the gas, then pressure isolation confirms which section is losing and where. It is instrumented work, not soap bubbles on a hunch, though every repaired joint still answers to leak solution at the end.

What is a red tag and can you clear it?

It is the utility declining to serve an unsafe line or appliance until it is corrected. We do the corrective repair, test the system on a gauge, document everything, and coordinate the relight. Routine for us, stressful for you only until you call.

Are small gas leaks really dangerous?

There is no such thing as a gas leak worth ignoring. Small leaks accumulate in enclosed spaces and grow at corroded joints. The find-and-fix is usually modest money; the alternative is not a bill anyone wants.

Can you check my whole gas system while you are here?

Yes, a whole-system pressure check plus appliance connection inspection is cheap peace of mind, especially on older homes. Many customers add it to any gas visit, and we recommend it after any earthquake worth mentioning.
